Ashtanga
"A dynamic and vigorous (faster pace) form of yoga that builds heat in the body. This 'Primary Series' set of postures maximizes strength, concentration and flexibility with breath awareness."  I teach a beginner friendly version of the Primary Series which offers modifications to all the poses.

Campfire Satsang
"An assembly of persons who listen to, talk about, and assimilate the truth." A satsang around a campfire ends each day on the "Rest, Relax and Release - Yoga and Meditation Retreat".

Restorative or Candlelit Restorative
"A gentle yoga class. Postures are often held longer to slowly release tension and quiet the mind."

Flow and Restore
The first 50% of this class is Vinyasa and the last 50% is Restorative.

Hatha
"Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Traditional hatha yoga is a holistic yogic path including: postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and meditation."  My Hatha classes also include restorative poses as well as some sun salutations.

Hatha and Restore
The first 50% of this class is Vinyasa and the last 50% is Restorative.

Meditation Walk
A 30 minute group walk in silence provides an opportunity to practice mindfulness. This is offered as part of the "Rest, Relax and Release - Yoga and Meditation Retreat".

Morning Meditation
Each morning on the "Rest, Relax and Release - Yoga and Meditation Retreat" the yoga studio is available for 30 minutes for reclined or seated meditation. Retreat participants are invited to mediate for as little or as much of the 30 minutes as they feel is appropriate for their personal practice.

Vinyasa
"These classes are dynamic and allow for a fluid transition from posture to posture, while developing awareness of the movement and breath connection. Vigorous sequences can be expected."

Yin
"Yin Yoga is a slow, deep practice that increases your flexibility by stretching and stimulating the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Postures are held for up to a few minutes to encourage a deepening of awareness and sensation in the body."

Yin/Yang
"These classes incorporate an eclectic mix of Yin and Yang styles of Yoga. Yin is a passive form of yoga which helps move Chi through the meridian lines, and stretches the deep connective tissues of the body. Yang is an active practice which utilizes muscular energy which will move us into a strength building practice that focuses on alignment based breath led flow into a moving meditation which energizes and enlivens the practice and activates the mind-body-spirit connection."

Yoga for the Actor
This course provides actors the opportunity to discover what styles of asana (poses), meditation and pranayama (breathing) techniques resonate with them, and the effects yoga has on their body and mind. The exploration will provide the opportunity to find the correlations between yoga and performance. The goal of the workshop is guide actors in their endeavour to create a custom yoga warm-up that prepares their body and mind for auditions and performances. I teach Yoga for the Actor as a workshop. Please contact me for more information.

Yoga for Bigger Bodies
Bigger body accessible yoga! My goal is to teach you how to make the pose fit your body rather than making your body fit the pose, practicing your personal modifications in a welcoming, supportive, and non-competitive environment. These classes are also ideal for rounder bodied students wanting to learn modifications that will help them confidently participate in all yoga classes even ashtanga and vinyasa classes. I also teach a Yoga for Bigger Bodies teacher training.
