Studies show that incorporating yoga into your week can help reduce stress, improve your mood, and increase focus. Although many people are aware of all the physical and mental benefits of a regular yoga practice, they find fitting it in amongst a busy work, family and home life challenging. This is where a yoga class in your workplace can help.
A gentle Hatha Yoga class brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Your lunch time class will include postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation. This gentle lunch time yoga class will be an excellent opportunity to release tension in your body and quiet your mind.
As participants will be returning to their work day following the class, this will not be a strenuous sweaty workout. Movement will be slower paced in order to relieve stress while becoming energized for the remainder of the day. The class focuses on mobility, flexibility, constructive rest, and restoration, all so you can return to your work day feeling refreshed and focused.
A 45 minute yoga class during lunch hour allows staff plenty of time to get from their desks, into yoga attire, and back to their desks within a one hour lunch break. Staff can then eat their lunch at their desks once they are back to work. All students need to bring to class is a yoga mat and towel.
